Piglets

The baby room (otherwise known as the Piglets) is the beginning of a baby’s journey through the nursery.

On arriving in the Piglets, staff try to follow a baby’s routine from home and gradually introduce them to the nursery day.

Each baby is allocated a pram or cot to sleep in whenever he/she needs to. The Gooseberry Bush believes children sleep better outside and encourage parents to allow their children to sleep outside in the garden. children are monitired by staff and CTV cameras at all times.

Babies are loved, nurtured and offered a variety of activities to encourage their development at a rate suitable to each individual.

Staff ratio is 1 adult to 3 babies.
