Child Care for Pre School Early Years development

Tiggers

Children move into the Tiggers room around their third birthday. the majority of children attending access the government's Early Yaers funding which entitles every 3 and 4 year old to 5 -3 hour education sessions a week for 38 weeks of the year. These sessions can be used over a maximum of 6 hours per day and a minimum of 3 days.

During the sessions the Tiggers  free flow through the three large rooms accessing all areas of learning in each room.

Our educational provision has been developed to provide opportunities for the children to develop skills in the following areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

• Personal, Social and Emotional development.
• Communication Language and literacy.
• Problem Solving, Reasoning ans Numeracy
• Knowledge and understanding of the world.
• Physical development.
• Creative development.

The children develop these skills through a variety of carefully planned adult and child initiated activities. The children are regularly assessed and activities are tailored to suit their needs.

Staff ratio in the Tiggers is 1 adult to 6 children.

 

Funding

Children who attend the 3 hours sessions during term times only  (i.e. 38 weeks per year) are paid for by Early Years government funding. The children who attend for longer sessions and/or all year round has the early years government funding deducted for their monthly fees.
