Playberry Club 
As well as the nursery the Gooseberry Bush also operates an “out of school” club.
Named the Playberry Club this is open as follows:-
Term time 8 - 9 am Breakfast
3 - 6 pm After school
8 am - 6 pm School Holidays
8 am - 6 pm Teacher training days
The Playberry is organised by Jenny, a Nursery Nurse with a further CACHE diploma in Play work.
Breakfast and after school club offers snacks which the children choose and sometimes help to prepare. Having a structured school day, the emphasis at the clubs is to relax and enjoy! There are a variety of activities on offer including:-
Lots of creative sessions, role play, construction and outdoor play, social/ team building games are popular where the children are encouraged to lead the activities.
The holiday club is full of variety, the children have a consultation session at the beginning, and a fun pack plan is put together. This includes painting, team games; out door play i.e. rounders or football.
However, if the children just want to sit down and watch a DVD then that’s fine.
During the holiday club there is also the opportunity to go on days out.
